Our Story
I’m Preethi Jambunathan, the founder and driving force behind this innovative training space for teachers.
My journey into education was unexpected, yet serendipitous. With a background in Sales and Marketing, I stumbled upon teaching at Acharya Montessori in Srirangam in 2012. It was there that I discovered my true passion for teaching and made a life-changing decision to pursue it.
At Acharya Montessori, I was introduced to the concept of phonics by a guest teacher. This sparked a curiosity in me, and I went on to pursue phonics training. This experience not only deepened my understanding of language learning but also instilled in me a desire to share this knowledge with others.
In 2020, I ventured into the world of online teaching with Whitehat Jr and Byju’s. This new frontier allowed me to reach more students and refine my teaching skills. To further enhance my expertise in English, I obtained the UK Certification of Jolly Phonics and Grammar from CPD College. With a strong foundation in language instruction as a TESOL/TEFL certified professional, I complement my expertise with certifications in soft skills training, corporate training, and Train-the-Trainer programs. This diverse skill set enables me to deliver comprehensive training solutions.
Today, my vision for JP Academy is to create a dynamic training space where teachers can learn, grow, and innovate.
My motto is simple yet powerful: ‘Keep learning new methodologies to help our children become better at reading and writing.’
I believe that by empowering teachers with the latest techniques and strategies, we can collectively make a profound impact on the lives of our young learners.
